Professional Internships

Casa de la Familia offers a variety of professional internships for those in their masters degree and doctoral degree programs, as well as post masters and post doctoral internships. Individuals will gain an enriching learning experience under the guidance of a clinical supervisor, learning evidence based techniques for the assessment, intervention, diagnosis and treatment planning for patients while professionalism and ethical understanding in a clinical setting.

Professional Internships

Practicum Placement

Casa de la Familia offers un-paid practicum placements for clinical psychology. Students will generally serve patients in office, serving patients with a wide range of presenting issues.  Patients range from individual to family sessions, from children to elderly, and from diverse cultural backgrounds.  



Post Masters Internships

Casa de la Familia offers paid post-masters internships.  These internships are focused on serving the marginalized surrounding communities, and mostly entail providing services to victims of crime. Associates will be provided with supervision and will be provided with trainings on techniques for treating those who have suffered a trauma. Patients come from diverse cultural backgrounds, as well as age ranges.

Doctoral Internships

Casa de la Familia offers unpaid doctoral internship placements.  Students will generally serve patients in office, serving patients with a wide range of presenting issues, including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma and more.  Patients may be served individually, with their family or even couples. Age ranges of clients can range from children to elderly. Our patients come from diverse cultural backgrounds, providing an enriching experience for the doctoral student to be exposed to a variety of presenting issues and cases.

Post Doctoral Internships

These paid internships are focused on serving the marginalized surrounding communities of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, and mostly entail providing services to victims of crime. Students will be provided with supervision and will be provided with trainings on techniques for treating those who have suffered a trauma. Patients come from diverse cultural backgrounds, as well as age ranges. Additionally, post doctoral internships will also be placed into satellite partnering community centers, providing group, individual and family therapy within the community.
